QuantumWise will collaborate with Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) to build a new nanotechnology modeling platform for the defense industry.

The new software platform is based on QuantumWise’s flagship product, Atomistix ToolKit (ATK), and will incorporate Sandia National Laboratories’ Socorro simulation package. ATK is the only commercial simulation software that comprehensively models electrical properties of nanodevices, and Socorro is an advanced simulator for nanomaterials.

“Combining ATK and Socorro will create a unique platform that will give us access to new nanotechnology simulation capability,” says Rick Barto, manager at Lockheed Martin ATL. “The new system will have an intuitive graphical user interface and advanced scripting language. When Socorro is integrated into the QuantumWise platform it will enable us to address many challenges we face working in nanoscale environments.”

QuantumWise annoncerede idag, at virksomheden har påbegyndt et nært samarbejde med Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) om at opbygge en nanoteknologisk modelleringsplatform til forsvarsindustrien.

Den nye platform er baseret på QuantumWise’s standard softwarepakke, Atomistix ToolKit (ATK), som integreres med Socorro simuleringspakken fra Sandia National Laboratories. ATK er den eneste kommercielle simuleringssoftware, der kan modellere elektriske egenskaber af nano komponenter, og Socorro er en avanceret simuleringspakke for nanomaterialer.
